A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, FEDERAL EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT AGENCY FY2013 PORT SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM (PSGP)
ON BEHALF OF THE BAYTOWN POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS IN THE
AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED EIGHT THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($108,000.00), AUTHORIZING A CASH MATCH IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($36,000.00); AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF..
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept a
grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency FY2013
Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) on behalf of the Baytown Police and Fire Departments in the
amount of ONE HUNDRED EIGHT THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($108,000.00).
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match in
an amount not to exceed THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($36,000.00) pursuant to
the grant referenced in Section I hereof.
Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section d: This resolution shall take effect im/vte
and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
