BAWA Resolution No. 2021-21RESOLUTION NO. 2021-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA
WATER AUTHORITY REJECTING THE BID RECEIVED FOR THE BAYTOWN
AREA WATER AUTHORITY FILTER AIR SCOUR IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority advertised for bids for
the BAWA Filter Air Scour Improvements Project to be received on October 14, 2021; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let
was published in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the one bid received was opened and publicly read in the Council Chamber of the
Baytown City Hall at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 14, 2021, as per published notice to bidders; and
WHEREAS, the one bid received by the Baytown Area Water Authority exceeded the engineer's
estimate: and
WHEREAS, the BAWA staff recommends that the bid be rejected and the project be advertised
again for competitive bids; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER
AUTHORITY:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority hereby rejects
the bid received for the BAWA Filter Air Scour Improvements Project.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority.
