A RESOLUTION OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND
PREVENTION DISTRICT PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OFFICERS
FOR THE FEBRUARY 2, 2002, ELECTION CALLING A REFERENDUM ON
THE QUESTION OF WHETHER TO CONTINUE THE BAYTOWN CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT AND THE CRIME CONTROL
AND PREVENTION DISTRICT SALES TAX; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
POSTING AND PUBLICATION OF NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT:
Section 1: That the territory of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District,
which is the corporate limits of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby divided into Election
Precincts, having the following polling places and election officials for the purpose of this

Section 2: Notice of the special election officers shall be given by posting a
substantial copy of this election resolution, in English and Spanish, at the City Hall and at three
other places in the City, not less than 14 days nor more than 30 days prior to the date set for the
election; and a substantial copy of this election resolution, in English and Spanish, also shall be
published on the same day in each of two successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City, the date of the first publication to be not more than 30 days and not less
than 14 days prior to the date set for the election.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
Board of Directors of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the Board of Directors
of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District on this the 201h day of November, 2001.
