2006 05 22 CCPD MinutesMINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TEMPORARY BOARD OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL PREVENTION DISTRICT May 22, 2006 6:00 p.m. The regular meeting of the Temporary Board of the Baytown Crime Control Prevention District (CCPD) met on May 22, 2006 at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber of the City of Baytown with the following in attendance: Sammy Mahan Scott Sheley Brandon Capetillo Don Murray Mercedes Renteria III Calvin Mundinger Gary M. Jackson Bob Leiper Kelvin Knauf Ignacio Ramirez, Sr. Lorri Coody Vice Chairman Secretary Temporary Board Member Temporary Board Member Temporary Board Member Chairman City Manager Deputy City Manager Assistant City Manager City Attorney Assistant Secretary Temporary Board Member Renteria was not present at Call to Order. Temporary Board Member Anderson was absent from the meeting. Call to Order The meeting was opened by Chairman Mundinger with a quorum present at 6:00 p.m. Approval of the Minutes for: • The Special Session of the CCPD held March 7, 2006. • The Regular Meeting of the CCPD held March 9, 2006. Temporary Board Member Sheley moved to approve the minutes as presented. Temporary Board Member Mahan seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Temporary Board Members Capetillo, Mahan, Murray and Sheley Chairman Mundinger Nays: None The motion carried. Page 2 of 3 Minutes of the CCPD Temporary Board Regular Meeting — May 22, 2006 Temporary Board Member Renteria joined the meeting at 6:10 p.m. Canvass the returns of the confirmation election of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District held on May 13, 2006. Pursuant to Section 323.405 of the Texas Tax Code, the Temporary Board of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District conducted the official canvass of the votes cast for and against the proposition of the confirmation election held on May 13, 2006. The results were as follows: Consider Proposed Resolution No. 060522 -1, declaring the results of the confirmation election of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District and declaring the District created. Temporary Board Member Capetillo moved to approve the Resolution as presented, declaring the results of the confirmation election of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District and declaring the District created. Temporary Board Member Mahan seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Temporary Board Members Renteria, Capetillo, Mahan, Murray and Sheley Chairman Mundinger Nays: None The motion carried. RESOLUTION NO.4 A RESOLUTION OF THE TEMPORARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CREATION AND TAX ELECTION OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT; DECLARING THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT CREATED; MAILING FINDINGS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
