1998 09 10 CCPD MinutesMINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS September 10, 1998 The Board of the Crime Control and Prevention District of Baytown, Texas, met on September 10, 1998, at 6:20 p.m., in the Don M. Hullum Conference Room of the Baytown City Hall, 2401 Market, Baytown, Texas, with the following in attendance: Victor Almendarez David Byford Manuel Escontrias E. Frank Hinds, Jr. Coleman Godwin *Scott Sheley Pete C. Alfaro Board Member Board Member Board Member Board Member Board Member Board Member President The meeting was opened with a quorum present, and the following business was conducted: Consider Approval of the Minutes for the Meeting Held on May 14, 1998 Board Member Almendarez moved to approve the minutes; Board Member Escontrias seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Board Members Almendarez, Byford, Escontrias, and Godwin President Alfaro Nays: None Abstained: Board Member Hinds 98091 0 -2 Board Crime Control and Prevention District Consider Resolution No. 2 Setting the Fiscal Year for the District and Establishing Budgetary Procedures *Board Member Sheley present. The Crime Control and Prevention District Act provides that a fiscal year must be established for the District and provides that the Board of Directors may adopt procedures for adoption of the District's budget. Since the city staff provides services to both entities, the recommendation is to establish the fiscal year to coincide with that of the City of Baytown, October 1 through September 30 and to establish procedures for adoption of the District's budget to coincide with those established for adoption of the City of Baytown Budget. Board Member Escontrias moved to adopt the resolution. Board Member Hinds seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Board Members Byford, Escontrias, Hinds, Godwin, Almendarez, and Sheley President Alfaro Nays: None Adjourn There being no further business to be transacted, the meeting was adjourned. e A24�-- Eileen P.
