1997 11 18 CCPD MinutesMINUTES OF THE TEMPORARY BOARD OF THE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS November 18, 1997 The Temporary Board of the Crime Control and Prevention District of Baytown, Texas, met on November 18, 1997, at 4:30 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Baytown City Hall, 2123 Market, Baytown, Texas, with the following in attendance: Victor Almendarez David Byford Manuel Escontrias E. Frank Hinds, Jr. Stephen DonCarlos Scott Sheley Board Member Board Member Board Member Board Member Board Member Board Member Pete C. Alfaro Chairman The meeting was opened with a quorum present, and the following business was conducted: CONSIDER PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT ORDERING THE CREATION OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT TO BE HELD ON THE 17TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1998, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING THE BAYTOWN CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT, APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND LEVYING A SALES AND USE TAX; PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OFFICERS; DESIGNATING THE PLACES AND MANNER OF HOLDING SAID ELECTION; PRESCRIBING THE HOURS; ESTABLISHING THE CENTRAL COUNTING STATION; PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING AND PUBLICATION OF NOTICE. Board Member Hinds moved to adopt Resolution No. 3; Board Member Byford seconded the motion.
