AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF EIGHTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED
NINETY-FOUR AND 32/100 DOLLARS ($88,694.32) TO LED OEM PARTNERS,
THROUGH THE INTERLOCAL PURCHASING SYSTEM, FOR THE PURCHASE,
INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF 41" X 79" FULL -COLOR DIGITAL
SIGNAGE FOR THE WAYNE GRAY SPORTS COMPLEX AND BICENTENNIAL
PARK; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a cooperative purchasing agreement with The Interlocal
Purchasing System (""PIPS"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the City may make purchases based upon the bids
received by TIPS; and
WHEREAS, TIPS has received bids for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of" certain
digital signage that the City desires to have installed at the Wayne Gray Sports Complex and Bicentennial
Park; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes the
payment of EIGHTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR AND 32/100 DOLLARS
($88,694.32) to LED OEM Partners, through a cooperative purchasing agreement with The Interlocal
Purchasing System for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of TI" x T9" full -color digital signage
for the Wayne Gray Sports Complex and Bicentennial Park.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated
§252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less,
provided that the original contract price specified in Section I may not be increased by more than twenty-
five percent (25%) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) without the consent of the
contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
