AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED
NINETY-FIVE AND NO/100 DOLLARS (563,195.00) TO TECTA AMERICA CORP.,
THROUGH THE NATIONAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING ALLIANCE, FOR THE
LEAK REPAIRS AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROJECT FOR REPAIRS
AND MAINTENANCE TO THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE CENTER'S ROOF AND
GUTTERS; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has registered with the National Cooperative
Purchasing Alliance ("NCPA"), a public agency that competitively solicits master contracts; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the NCPA's program, NCPA has a contract with Tecta America Coil).,
for repairs and maintenance to roofs and -utters; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to use the NCPA's master agreement with Tecta America Corp., for
the Leak Repairs and Preventative Maintenance Project for repairs and maintenance to the Municipal
Service Center's roof and gutters; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of
SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE AND NO/100 DOLLARS (563,195.00)
to Tecta America Corp., throu,ll the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, for the Leak Repairs and
Preventative Maintenance Project for repairs and maintenance to the Municipal Service Center's roof and
gutters.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated
§252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general Authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less,
provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) or
decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
