The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session on May 16, 2004, at 8:00 a.m.
in the Council Chamber of Baytown City Hall with the following in attendance:

The meeting was opened at 8:28 a.m. with a quorum and the following business was conducted:
Consider Proposed Resolution No. 050516 -1, canvassing the returns of the general election held
on May 7, 2005.
Pursuant to the Election Code requiring the Council to canvass the returns of an election not earlier
than the eighth day or later than the eleventh day after the date of the election, the City Council
conducted the official canvass. The results were as follows:

Council Member Renteria moved approval of the proposed resolution canvassing the results of the
OW general and special election held on May 7, 2005. Mayor Mundinger seconded the motion. The vote
follows:

Mayor Mundinger.
Nays: None.
The motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 1716
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD WITHIN THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ON THE 7TH DAY OF MAY, 2005, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ELECTING ONE COUNCIL MEMBER FROM DISTRICT NO. ONE, ONE
COUNCIL MEMBER FROM DISTRICT NO. 2, AND ONE COUNCIL MEMBER FROM
DISTRICT NO. 3; FINDING THAT NOTICE OF THE ELECTION WAS PROPERLY HELD AND
THE RETURNS THEREOF MADE BY THE PROPER OFFICIALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
Adjourn.
Council Member Renteria moved that the meeting adjourn. Mayor Mundinger seconded the motion.
The vote follows:
Ayes: Council Member Renteria.
Mayor Mundinger.
Nays: None.
The motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:46 a.m.
