BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, does hereby authorize Change Order No. 7 with Comex Corporation for the Fire Training Facility Phase 3 Project. A copy of said change order is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. Section 2: That subject to funding from the Baytown Municipal Development District, the City Council of the City of Baytown authorizes payment to Comex Corporation, in an amount not to exceed TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY AND 65!100 DOLLARS ($21,860.65) in accordance with the change order authorized in Section 1 hereinabove. The pressure testing of the liquid propane lines from the propane tank to the fire training structure requires a pressure of 375 PSI for 24 hours to ensure that the lines are safe for the use. Initial testing was conducted under the incorrect NFPA standard due to a misunderstanding of the requirement and propane delivery method (liquid vs. gas). Testing of the pumps at the drafting pond revealed inadquate electrical power. This change will increase the size of the wire from the breaker box at the Storage Building to the drafting pond pumps that draw water from the reservoir to ensure all four pumps can work at the same time as intended, to provide fire training water. Brief Description of Changes: Item 7.1: The first item of work is for an increase of $5,224,80 to pressure test the liquid propane lines from the propane tank to the fire training structure with a pressure of 375 PSI for 24 hours to ensure that they are safe for the use of delivering the propane from the tank to the fire training structure Item 7.2: The second item of work is for an increase in the amount of $16,635.85 for increasing the size of the wire from the breaker box by the Pre -Engineered Metal Storage Building to the pumps that draw water from the reservoir to ensure all four pumps can work at the same time as intended.
