CC Resolution No. 2266 RESOLUTION NO. 2266 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS ("ASPCA") FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE BAYTOWN HEALTH DEPARTMENT'S ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($23,000.00); AUTHORIZING A CASH MATCH IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($37,000.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section l: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make application to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ("ASPCA") for the benefit of the Baytown Health Department's Animal Control division in the amount of TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($23,000.00). Section 2: That pursuant to the terms of the grant referenced in Section I hereof, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match in an amount not to exceed THIRTY- SEVEN THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($37,000.00) as required by the grant application authorized in Section 1 hereinabove. Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grant. Section 4: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from this application. Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediat/ofe after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
