A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT
AWARD THAT MAY RESULT FROM THE GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED
TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE SELECTIVE
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE BAYTOWN POLICE
DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2021 "CLICK IT OR TICKET" TRAFFIC
ENFORCEMENT INITIATIVE ADMINISTERED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the grant application
submitted to the Texas Department of Transportation for the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes and
directs the City Manager to take appropriate action for the City of Baytown's participation in the program
identified in Section 1 hereof.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes the City,
through the Baytown Police Department, to participate in the 2021 "Click it or Ticket" traffic enforcement
initiative administered by the Texas Department of Transportation as part of the Selective Traffic
Enforcement Program.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
