1992 04 06 CC Minutes, EmergencyMINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN April 6, 1992 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in an emergency meeting on Monday, April 6, 1992, at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Baytown City Hall with the following attendance: Pete C. Alfaro Bobby J. Credille Rolland J. Pruett *Don M. Hullum Emmett O. Hutto Bobby Rountree Norman Dykes Ignacio Ramirez Eileen P. Hall Absent: Mario Delgado Ray Swofford Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman Mayor City Manager Assistant City Manager City Attorney City Clerk Councilman Councilman Mayor Hutto convened the meeting with a quorum present, after which the following business was conducted: Consider Proposed Ordinance Authorizing Payment to Steamatic of Baytown for an Amount Not to Exceed Two Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars The City Manager explained that due to a leak in the roof, records in the City Clerk's office were damaged by water. Due to the emergency situation, the City Clerk received informal bids and Steamatic of Baytown, Inc. is the low bidder. The administration does plan to recover this cost from the contractor who performed work in that area. The administration recommended approval of the ordinance. Councilman Credille moved for adoption of the ordinance. Councilman Pruett seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Council members Alfaro, Credille and Pruett Mayor Hutto Nays: None 920406 -2 Minutes of the Emergency Session - April 6, 1992 Ordinance No. 6208 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS, AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND N01100 ($2,800.00) DOLLARS TO STEAMATIC OF BAYTOWN, INC. FOR RECORD RECOVERY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. *Councilman Hullum present. Adjourn There being no further business to be transacted the meeting was adjourned. Eileen P.
