January 30, 1992
The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in a
work session on Thursday, January 30, 1992, at 1:00 p.m. in the
Conference Room of the Baytown City Hall with the following
attendance:

Jimmy Johnson
Ray Swofford
Pete C. Alfaro
Bobby J. Credille
Rolland J. Pruett
Emmett O. Hutto

Eileen P. Hall

The meeting was called to order with a quorum present, after
which the following business was conducted:
Accept Resignation of Councilman Johnson
Councilman Johnson submitted his resignation stating that he
had enjoyed his fourteen years of service as city councilman.
Also, he submitted his resume for the position of Municipal Court
Judge.
Councilman Pruett moved to accept the resignation of
Councilman Johnson. Councilman Swofford seconded the motion.
The vote follows:
Ayes: Council members Delgado, Swofford,
Alfaro, Credille and Pruett
Mayor Hutto
Nays: None
Abstained: Councilman Johnson
Mayor Hutto then recessed the work session to convene the
emergency meeting of Council. When the open meeting reconvened,
the following business was conducted:

Review Applications Submitted to Fill Vacancy in council
Council decided to interview all four candidates who had
applied to fill the vacancy in Council District No. 4.

January 30, 1992
The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in an
emergency meeting on Thursday, January 30, 1992, at 1:05 p.m. in
the Conference Room of the Baytown City Hall with the following
attendance:

Pete C. Alfaro Councilman

Rolland J. Pruett Councilman

Bobby Rountree City Manager

Consider Proposed Ordinance, Awarding Bid on Emergency Basis for
Control Panel and Three Phase Pumps for Lift Station
It has become necessary to purchase a control panel and
three phase pumps for continued operation of Country Club View
Lift Station. The administration recommended adoption of the
ordinance on emergency basis.
Councilman Swofford moved for adoption of the ordinance.
Councilman Credille seconded the motion. The vote follows:
Ayes: Council members Delgado, Swofford,
Alfaro, Credille and Pruett

Nays: None

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS,
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND EIGHT
HUNDRED SIXTY -NINE AND N01100 ($8,869.00) DOLLARS TO PUMP & POWER
EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR THE CONTROL PANEL AND THREE -PHASE PUMPS FOR
A LIFT STATION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
