1985 09 04 CC Minutes, Special50904 -1 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN September 41 1985 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session on Wednesday, September 4, 1985, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Baytown City Hall with the following attendance: Fred T. Philips Councilman Perry M. Simmons Councilman Ron Embry Councilman Roy L. Fuller Councilman Emmett 0. Hutto Mayor Fritz Lanham City Manager Randy Strong City Attorney Eileen P. Hall City Clerk Absent: Jimmy Johnson Councilman Gerald Dickens Councilman The meeting was called to order with a quorum present, and the following business was conducted: Consider Proposed Ordinance, Awarding Bid for Hydromulch Seeding of the Tenth Street Detention /Park Facilities Council was provided with a copy of the bid tabulation and asked to award the bid on this particular contract at this special meeting in order to expedite the hydromulch seeding prior to a heavy rain that could wash a large amount of the top soil away. Erosion Control, Inc. is the low bidder for 102,000 square feet of hydromulch seeding at a cost of $2,958. The administration recommended awarding the bid to the low bidder. Councilman Embry moved to adopt the ordinance; Council- man Fuller seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Council members Philips, Simmons, Embry and Fuller Mayor Hutto Nays: None ORDINANCE NO. 4246 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EROSION CONTROL, INC. FOR THE HYDROMULCH SEEDING OF THE TENTH STREET DETENTION POND FACILITIES AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY -EIGHT AND N0 1100 ($2,958.00) DOLLARS. For bid tabulation, see Attachment "A." 50904 -2 Minutes of the Special Meeting - Sept. 4, 1985 Consider Appointments to Appraisal Review Board for Industrial Districts Councilman Philips moved to appoint Ken McNulty, Ron Haddox and Joe Muller as members of the Appraisal Review Board for Industrial Districts for 1985. Councilman Embry seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Council members Philips, Simmons, Embry, and Fuller Mayor Hutto Nays: None Schedule Depositions in Single member, District Lawsuit The city attorney notified council that it will be necessary to reschedule depositions in the single member district lawsuit.
