The meeting was called to order and Norman Dykes, City
Engineer /Director of Public Works explained that Harris County
Flood Control District has agreed to install pipe under Kilgore
Road at HCFCD Ditch No. Q105 -00 -00 in accordance with plans
discussed at the last Council meeting. Emergency bids were
taken for purchase of 12 gauge pipe since neither company
contacted had 10 gauge pipe on hand. The necessity for
emergency bids is that the County's work is now in progress
and the pipe will only be installed if the City can deliver
some within a few days. The Administration recommended accepting
the bid of Texas Corrugators, Inc. for purchase of corrugated,
coated metal pipe on an emergency basis and authorizing the
expenditure of $9,549.65.
Councilman Cannon moved for adoption of the ordinance;
