1972 02 28 CC Minutes, Specialn r r 5173 -A MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN February 28, 1972 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session on Monday, February 28, 1972, at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Room of the Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendance: Ted Kloesel C. O. Walker Jody Lander Allen Cannon C. Glen Walker J. B. LeFevre Howard Northcutt Edna Oliver Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman Mayor Acting City Manager Adm. Assistant City Clerk The Mayor called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: Ordinance - Approving Supplemental Agreement Hwy Dept. - Off - Street Parkin GC Hospital Councilman Kloesel moved to adopt an ordinance approving a supplement to the master agreement between the State Highway Department and The City to permit the construction, maintenance and operation of a public parking facility on the right- of-way of Loop 201 to facilitate parking at the Gulf Coast Hospital during the current construction of additional rooms and offices on the hospital site, and authorizing the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City, subject to his approval of the terms of the agreement. Councilman Lander seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Kloesel, Walker, Lander, Cannon Mayor Walker Nays: None The caption of the ordinance follows: ORDINANCE NO. 1182 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PORN AND SUBSTANCE OF A SUPPLEMENT TO A MASTER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND THE STATE OF TEXAS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION OF OFF - STREET PARKING AND OTHER APPROPRIATE USES OF STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT RIGHTS -OF -WAY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS; THE SAID SUPPLEMENT BEING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF AN OFF-STREET PARKING FACILITY ON LOOP 201 ADJACENT TO GULF COAST HOSPITAL; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SAID AGREEMENT AND THE CITY CLERK TO ATTEST THE SAME FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; INCORPORATING BY REFERENCE THE TERMS OF SAID SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT AND MASTER AGREEMENT AND SPECIFICALLY APPROVING THE SAME; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Adjourn There being no further business to come before the Council, the motion was made and seconded that the meeting adjourn. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
