MINUTES OF A SPECIAL
MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF BAYTOWN
January 26, 1972
The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in speciall called sessior
at 3:00 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 1972, in the Council Room of the
Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendance:

Mayor Walker stated that an emergency situation exists as Howard Northcutt,
Acting City Manager has asked to be relieved of his duties as manager and to
return to his former position of Administrative Assistant.
Resolution - Appointing J. B. LeFevre Acting City Manager
City Attorney Richardson introduced and read a resolution declaring that
an emergency situation exists and appointing J. B. LeFevre, an officer of the
City to perform the duties of City Manager until such time as the office of the
City Manager is filled. Councilman Kloesel moved to adopt the resolution as
read. Councilman Walker seconded the motion. The vote follows:
Ayes: Councilman Kloesel, Walker, Lander
Mayor Walker
Nays: None

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS, APPOINTING J. B.
LEFEVRE, AN OFFICER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, ACTING CITY MANAGER
TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF CITY MANAGER UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE
POSITION OF CITY MANAGER IS FILLED.
Adjourn
There being no further business to come before the Council, the motion was
made by Councilman Walker and seconded by Councilman Kloesel that the meeting
adjourn. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
