1968 01 15 CC Minutes, Special4404 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS January 15, 1968 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session on Monday, January 15, 1968 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Room of the City Hall with the following members in attendance: Patrick Ball Councilman Glen Walker Councilman A. M. Braswell Councilman Albert Fanestiel Councilman Lamar Kelley Councilman Seaborn Cravey Mayor Fritz Lanham City Manager Absent: Don . Hullum Councilman Insurance Committee The Insurance Commltee reported on its meeting with representatives of the Insurance Agencies. It was reported that, as a result of the meeting, an ordinance had been prepared incorporating some of the suggestions of the insurance agents as well as some of the provisions of Ordinance No. 894 which was adopted by the City Council October 19, 1967. Councilman Walker seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Ball, Walker, Braswell, Fanestiel and Kelley Mayor Cravey Nays: None Adoption Ordinance No. 905 Councilman Kelley then moved to adopt ordinance No. 905 which provides for the constitution of a City Insurance Advisory Committee for the City of Baytown. Councilman Walker seconded the.motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Ball, Walker, Braswell, Fanestiel and Kelley Mayor Cravey Nays: None The caption of the ordinance follows: ORDINANCE NO. 905 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTITUTION OF A CITY INSURANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, SUBJECT TO THE ANNUAL REVIEW AND GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; PRESCRIBING MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR GENERAL PROCEDURE OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE;OPERATIONS; EFFECTING INITIAL ORGANIZATION OF THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
