1967 09 06 CC Minutes, Special[Cli ' MINUTES OF SPECAIL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN September 6, 1967 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session Wednesday, September 6, 1967, at 6:45 a.m., at the Holiday Inn,. with the following persons pre- sent: A. M. Braswell Councilmen Albert Fanestiel Councilman Don M. Hullum Councilman Lamar Kelley Councilman Glen Walker Councilman ' Seaborn Cravey Mayor Absent: Patrick Ball Councilman Also present: Fritz Lanham City Manager George Chandler City Attorney Henry Holcomb Reporter, Baytown Sun Chester Rogers Reporter, Houston Chronicle Industrial District Agreement -- Humble Oil G Refinina Company The City Council considered a report from the Industrial District Committee regarding an Industrial District Agreement between Humble Oil G Refining Company and the City of Baytown. A copy of this proposed agreement is attached to these minutes. On motion by Councilman Walker, seconded by Councilman Hullum, the Council voted to authorize the Industrial District Committee to contact Humble and request the following changes: the figure of five percent (when applied to Humble's Industrial District valuation, times the property tax rate per one hun- dred dollars assessed valuation would determine the total amount of the payment in lieu of taxes) be increased to six percent and that the payment date be changed -� from June of each year to January 31 of each year. If these changes are accept- able by Humble the contract is to be executed by the City.
