1967 05 04 CC Minutes, Special4338 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN May 4, 1967 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas met in special session on Thursday, May 4, 1967 at 5:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Room of the Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendance: Patrick Ball Glen Walker Don M. Hullum A. M. Braswell Albert Fanestiel Lamar Kelley Seaborn Cravey Fritz Lanham Jack ,Horton J. B. LeFevre Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman Mayor City Manager Director of Public Works Director of Finance The Mayor called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: Baytown Water System Improvements - Turner, Collie & Braden Inc The representatives of Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc. reviewed the proposed improvements to the City of Baytown Water System. They presented a report and recommended priority list as follows: First Priority: 12" line on Highway 146 and all 6" and 8" lines Total cost: $438,700.00 Second Priority: All remaining 12" and 16" lines Total cost: $ 17,000.00 Third Priority: Water Production and Storage Facilities Total cost: $349,200.00 Councilman Fanestiel moved to accept the priority list and authorized the Engineers to proceed with plans and specifications for Phase One which includes the 12° line on State Highway 146 and the 6" and 8" lines included in the Improvement Program. Councilman Braswell seconded the motion. The.vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Ball, Walker, Hullum, Braswell, Fanestiel and Kelley ,Mayor Cravey Nays: None Mr. Ivan Langford, representative of Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc. indicated that approximately one hundred and twenty days would be required for the prepara- tion of Plans and Specifications. Adiournment There being no further order of business to come before the Council, the motion was made and seconded that the meeting adjourn. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned. Edna Oliver, City Clerk
