1967 04 10 CC Minutes, Special4318 MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN April 10, 1967 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session on Monday, April 10, 1967, at 6:30 a.m, at the Holly Inn with the following members in attendance: C. M. Massey Councilman Don M. Hullum Councilman A. M. Braswell Councilman Albert Fanestiel Councilman Raymond T. Donnelly Councilman Seaborn Cravey Mayor Fritz Lanham City Manager Blair W. Mann Police Chief L. Y. Bailey Fire Chief Absent: Patrick Ball Councilman Ambulance Problem The Council discussed the emergency ambulance problem and the Ambulance Study Committee submitted a proposal for the Council's Study and possible action at its regular Council meeting to be held on April 12. Davis Road Protect The Council considered the appraisers' reports on Tract 10 on the Davis Road Project. It was necessary to secure re- appraisals on the tract of land due to the fact that the new right of way line would be within three inches of the residence located on this tract. Councilman Fanestiel moved to authorize the right of way negotiator to make an offer of $5,239.35 to the property owner. This is the appraisal of Mr. Carter H. Miller and is the lower of the two appraisals. Council- man Braswell seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Massey, Hullum, Braswell, Fanestiel and Donnelly Mayor Cravey Nays: None Baytown Emergency Corps - Purchase Boat The City Council, at its special meeting on September 12, 1966, approved a request from the Baytm Emergency Corps for the City to assist in the purchase of a new boat to replace the existing one. The Council voted to contribute $500.00 provided the Emergency Corps raised the additional necessary funds for the purchase of a boat. Councilman Hullum reported that the Emergency Corps has secured the necessary funds and that they would like -to have the City's contribution. Councilman Braswell moved to pay the Baytown Emergency Corps $500.00. Councilman Massey seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Massey, Hullum, Braswell, Fanestiel and Donnelly Mayor Cravey Nays: None There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was radjourned. p Edna Oliver, City Clerk
