1966 08 25 CC Minutes, Special4192 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN August 25, 1%6 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas met in special session on Thurs- day, August 25, 1966 at 6:00 p.m., prior to the regular meeting. The following members of the Council were present: Patrick Ball Councilman C. M. Massey Councilman Don M. Hullum Councilman A. M. Braswell Councilman Albert Fanestiel Councilman Raymond T. Donnelly Councilman Seaborn Cravey Mayor The Mayor Called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: Discussion - Air Conditionina and Electrical System - City Hall & Community Building The Council discussed with Lowell Lammers, Architect, the letter from Bernard Johnson Engineers dated August 5, 1966 relating to the design of the air conditioning and electrical work for the City Hall and Community Center Building. A copy of this letter had been sent to the City Manager. Upon motion by Councilman Ball, the Council voted to direct the City Manager to write a letter to Mr. Lammers stating that the City of Baytown is aware of the changes that have been made in the design of the air conditioning and electrical systems, that we are aware of the fact that these changes will result in a less desirable end product than originally planned, but that we are also aware that these changes were necessary due to budget limitations; to request the architect to review the changes with representatives of Bernard Johnson Engineers, and point out to the City-Council any engineering faults that may be found. Councilman Braswell seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Ball, Massey, Hullum. Braswell, Fanestiel and Donnelly. Nays: Mayor Cravey Recessed The meeting was recessed to continue immediately in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Edna Oliver, City Clerk
