1965 11 03 CC Minutes, Special4035 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN November 3, 1965 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session on Wednesday, November 3, 1965 at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Room of the.Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendance: Clem M. Massey Don M. Hullum A. M. Braswell Raymond T. Donnelly J. C. Huron Fritz Lanham Jack Morton Ivan Langford Paul Voinis Absent: Seaborn Cravey Robert Barnes George Chandler Edna Oliver Councilman. Mayor Pro Tem City Manager City Engineer Turner, Collie Braden, Inc., Consulting Engineers Mayor Councilman City Attorney City Clerk The meeting was called to order by the Mayor Pro Tem and the following business was transacted: Meeting - Representatives of Turner, Collie C• Braden, Inc - Consulting Engineers Air. Langford presented an oral report on their study of the sewer system improvements for which funds were voted in the bond election on March 6, 1965. The Council gave tentative approval to the improvements listed below: 1. Sewer to New High School 2. Alassey- Tompkins 3. &lisc. Lateral Sewers 4. West Main Sewage Treatment Plant Expansion 5. Massey- Tompkins Road - Hwy 146 Sewers 6. Woodlawn - Cedar Bayou Interceptor Sewer and Lift Stations 7. East District Sewage Treatment Plant Total Cost - IMMEDIATE CONSTRUCTION $ 178,200 127,300 111,000 312,000 528,100 480,800 375,000 $2,112,400 Councilman Donnelly moved to authorize Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc., Engineers, to prepare plans for the sewer line to serve the new high school, and to apply to the State Health Department for Public Law 660 Funds to finance a portion of the cost, and to investigate the possibility of securing additional federal funds authorized by Public Law 89 -117 and 89 -136. Councilman Hullum seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Massey, Huthm, Donnelly and Braswell. Mayor Pro Tem Huzo n Nays: None.
