1965 08 25 CC Minutes, Special3095 MINUTES OF A-SPECIAL MEETING OF THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN August 25, 1965 The City Council of the City of Baytown met in special session on Wednesday, August 25, 1965 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Sterling-Municipal Library with the following members in attendance: Seaborn Cravey Mayor Fritz Lanham City Manager J. B. LeFevre Director of Finance The Mayor called the meeting to order for the purpose of continuing a review of the proposed 1965 -66 fiscal budget as compiled by the City Manager. Reject Request - Fifty ($50) Dollar Increase Salary - Police and Fire Representatives from the Baytown Police Department and Baytown Fire Department submitted a request for a $50.00 per month increase in salary per person for all members of the two departments covered under Civil Service. Councilman Donnelly moved to reject the request for the $50.00 salary increase per month per person because of-in- sufficient funds in the proposed budget. Councilman Barnes seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Barnes, Massey, Hulluq Braswell, Huron and Donnelly. Mayor Cravey Nays: None Election Called Pay Raise Increase Request - September 25, 1965 Councilman Barnes moved to call an election on September 25th on the requested pay increases. Councilman Hullum seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Councilmen Barnes, Massey, Hullum, Braswell, Huron and Donnelly. Mayor Cravey Nays: None Adjournment Councilman Donnelly moved for the meeting to adjourn. Councilman Massey seconded the motion. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
