The City Council of the City of Baytown. Texas met in special session
on Tuesday. March 5, 1963 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Room of the City
Hall with the following members in attendance:

CONSTRUCTION CONNECTING LINES FOR NEWLY ANNEXED TERRITORY
Councilman Hansen moved to instruct City Manager, J. B. LeFevre to
have an Engineering Study made to determine the cost and the most desirable
method for a water line connecting the three water systems now in the City
limits of Baytown;
To reserve all surplus funds now available in the Water Fund in-
cluding the supplemental budget for construction of this connecting line;
To borrow funds if necessary to complete this project at the earliest
date possible.
Councilman Ward seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.
TO ADOPT ORDINANCE
Councilman Ansley motioned and Councilman Ward seconded that the
Council adopt Ordinance No. 672. The Caption follows:

AN ORDINANCE CONSENTING T0, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVFNG
THE ACQUISITION BY THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF HARRIS
COUNTY. TEXAS. OF RIGHT -OF -WAY PROPERTIES FOR STATE
HIGHWAY LOOP 201 (PROJECT NO. R/W 389 -13 -6) AND DECKER
DRIVE (SPUR 330) WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN; PROVIDING FOR RETENTION BY THE CITY
OF BAYTOWN OF CONTROL AND JURISDICTION OVER SUCH HIGH-
WAYS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilman Cravey moved for the meeting to adjourn. Councilman
Ansley seconded the motion. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor de-
clared the meeting adjourned.
