MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN. TEXAS
March 8. 1957
The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in special session
on Friday, March 8, 1957, at 5 :00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Room of the Bay-
town City Hall with the following members in attendance:
W. C. Swain Councilman
Al Clayton Councilman
Lacy,Lusk Councilman
R. H. Pruett Mayor
C. D. Middleton City Manager
Edna Oliver City Clerk
Absent: P. H. Mears Councilman
R. B. Bergeron Councilman
H. M. Campbell Councilman
The Mayor called the meeting to order for the business of considering
the bids asked for the police department patrol car.
Bids - Tabulated
Only two bids were received and are tabulated as follows:
Thad Felton Ford $ 2,173.00
Less Additional Accessories Not Stipulated in Bid
Advertisement.
Buck Turner Chevrolet $ 1,942.00
This carried a 40 amp generator - should be 50 amp.
After discussing the bids it was agreed that neither bid met specifi-
cations, therefore, Councilman Lusk moved to reject both bids and the City
Clerk be instructed to as for new bids for the regular meeting of March 14th.
Councilman Swain seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows:

Nays: None
Councilman Clayton moved for the meeting to adjourn. Councilman
Lusk seconded the motion. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the
meeting adjourned.
