1956 02 28 CC Minutes, Special�FvI MINUTF,S OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN February 28, 1956 The City Council of the City of Baytown;. Texas met in special session on Tues- day, February 28, 1956 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Room of the Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendance: P. H. Mears Councilman S H. M. Campbell Councilman • ■r • M. L. Campbell Councilman Lacy Lusk Councilman R. H. Pruett Mayor C. D. Middleton City Manager Absent: R. B. Bergeron Councilman Al Clayton Councilman George Chandler City Attorney Edna Oliver City Clerk The Mayor called the meeting to order, whereupon, the following business we transacted: Preliminary Approval - Craigmont Subdivision Bill Ehrhardt, Surveyor, presented a plat of Craigmont Place, as amended, for Council approval. The said plat was re- aligned according to the Council's specifi- cations and it was further agreed that all street crossings by the pipe line easement will be sleeved; a 1,000 GFM well will be drilled, however, a smeller 750 G.P.M. pump will be installed and used until a larger pump is needed; all utility lines will be looped according to the city's specifications and under the direction of the Director of PublicWorks when the said subdivision is sectionalized; and finally the sewage disposal plant will confer to the design Be approved by the Director of Public Works and the City Engineer. Councilman H. M. Campbell moved to grant preliminary approval to Craigmont Place Subdivision follow- ing requirements as specified by the City Council. Councilman Lusk seconded the motion. Bids - Water Sunblies The water supplies bids were presented as tabulated by the City Conyroller. Councilman Lusk moved to approve the bid of Utility Supply Company in the amount of $56,291.98 leas 5% making a total bid of $55,765.40. Councilman Mears seconded the motion.
