1954 04 07 CC Minutes, Special6 91� MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS April 7, 1954 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas met in special session on Wednesday, April 7, 1954 at 7 o'clock p. m. in the Council Room of the Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendance: R. H. Pruett Mayor R. B. Bergeron Councilman application of C. W. F. Lawless Councilman � Lacy Lusk Councilman The roll call vote was as follows: H. M. Campbell Councilman -- C. D. Middleton City Manager Absent: M. L. Campbell Councilman W. D. Reeves Councilman " Lawless George Chandler City Attorney Edna Oliver City Clerk The Mayor called the meeting to order. 011 Drilling Permits Councilman Lusk moved to approve the drilling application of C. J. Brown on the W. J. Heiner, lease, Well No. 1. Councilman Bergeron seconded the motion. Brown on the S. J. Johnson lease, Well No. 1. Councilman Bergeron seconded the motion. Campbell 1 ,: f The City Manager introduced and read an ordinance authorizing the transfer of $15,000 from the Traffic Improvement Unappropriated Surplus to classification 308 -U-1, to provide for street maintenance. Councilman H. M. Campbell moved to adopt the ordinance as read. Councilman Lawless seconded the motion. M Campbell The caption of the ordinance follows: ORDINANCE NO. 222 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO TRANSFER FIFTEFN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000) FROM THE TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENT FUND UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS TO CLASSIFICATION 308 -D-1, TO PROVIDE FOR STRFET MAINTENANCE. Ad journment Councilman Bergeron moved for the meeting to adjourn. Councilmen Lusk seconded the motion. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
