MINUTESOF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN.. TEXAS
March 18, 1953
The City Council of the City of Baytown met in special session on Wednesday,
March 18, 1953 with the following members in attendance:

The Mayor called the meeting to order. The.City Manager introduced and read
the following resolutions
»RESOLUTION
A RE9DLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OF
THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO DEPOSIT FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF ONE
HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND ($150,000)
DOLLARS AND TO DEPOSIT SIXTY THOUSAND ($60,000) DOLLARS FOR
A MINIMUM PERIOD OF NINETY (90) DAYS IN THE OFFICIAL DEPOSITORY
OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN.
BE IT RESOUIED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
THAT the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and
diredted to deposit in the official.depseitory of the City of Baytown a total stmt
of Two Hundred Ten Thousand ($210,000) Dollars, said sun to be made in three
separate deposits and to be identified as follows, to wit:
Capital - General Fund $ 150,000 Minimum of 120 days
Capital - Water Fund 500000 90 days
Capital - Traffic Fund _100000 90 days
TOTAL $ 2102000
Said sun to be placed in the time deposit account for a minimum of one
hundred twenty (120) days, ninety (90) days and ninety (90) days, respectively,
drawing interest at the rate of two (2%) per cent from date of deposit.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by a majority of the City Council of the City of
Baytown on this 18th day of March, 1953.

Councilman Lawless moved to adopt the resolution as read. Councilman Pruett
seconded the motion and the roll call vote was as follows:

Adjournment
Councilman Bergeron moved that the meeting adjourn. The motion was seconded
by Councilman H. M. Campbell. The ayes were we nimous and the Mayor declared the
meeting adjourned.
