May 5, 1951
The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas met in special - session on
Saturday,.May 5, 1951 at 10:o' clock a. m. in the office of the City Manager with
the following members in attendance:

The Mayor called the meeting
to order.
E. C. Johnston - Drilling Permit
Councilman M. L. Campbell moved to approve the drilling application of
the E. C.Johnston Company on the 0. A. Dyer Lease, Well No. 1. Councilman Buelow
seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows:
Roll Call: Ayes: Mayor Ward Nays: None

H. R. Burden - Drilling Permit
Councilman Buelow moved to approve the H. it. Burden drilling application
on the Darrell Tuck Lease, Well No. 1. Councilman H. M. Campbell seconded the
motion. The roll call vote was as follows:

Change Location - Jones Estate Well No. 2
Ervin Flowers, Attorney, requested permission from the Council to re- locate
the Jones Estate No. 2 Well Site. The new site reads 150 feet from the south line
and 150 feet from the west line ofthe Jones E tate 11.50 acre tract. Councilman
H. M. Campbell moved to approve the re- location site. Councilman M. L. Campbell
seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows:

Gene Hazelwood - Concession Stand - Rosaland Park
Gene•Hazelwood appeared before the Council and asked to be released from
his contract for the Swimming Pool Concession during the summer of 1951 as certain
conditions prevent &d him from operating the stand this summer. Councilman H. M.
Campbell moved to grant Mr. Hazelwood's request and relieve him of the contract.
Councilman Buelow seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows:

C. D. Middleton — Contact Prospects — Concession Stand
Mayor Ward appointed City Manager Middleton to contact prospective con-
cession operator regarding a contract for the Concession at the Roseland Park Swim-
ming Pool. Recommendatiods will be made to the Council by the City Manager, however,
any contract will be presented to the Council for final approval.
Adjournment
Councilman M.L. Campbell moved to adjourn. Councilman Huelow seconded the
motion. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
