The mayor called the meeting to order, afterwhich he introduced a lease contract,
which had been presented to the city of Baytown bT the Culf Oil Corporation, for an
easement on property located in the Gilliam Scc&t Upper learue. The mayor informed
the council that this proposed easement had been inspected by tie Superintendent. of
public- T:orks 9r?nth,m and woold not interfere with present or future development of
the city.
C,cvmcilran 'Williams moved to ^rant the Gulf lease and authorize the mayor to sign
the lease-cortract with the Gulf Oil Corporation. Councilman Godfrey seconded the
motion. The roll call vote vras as follows:

Works to buy necessa.Cr six (6) and eight (0) inch water mar: and. fittings from the
Foster Wheeler Ccmpan!, -,t the prices quoted city as of June 25, 19U9. Councilman
^odfrey seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows:
