1950 11 16 CC Minutes, SpecialMINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOiVN, TEXAS November 16, 1950 The City Council of the City of Baytotm, Texas, met in special session on 'hursday, November 16, 1950 at 3 o'clock p.m. in the Council Room of the Baytown 'Pity Hall with the following members in attendances J. A. Ward Mayor R. B. Bergeron Councilman E. W. Buelow Councilman W. D. Reeves Councilman W. C. Williams Councilman C. Darwin Middleton City Manager George Chandler City Attorney Edna Oliver City Clerk Absents Milton L. Campbell Councilman R. H. Pruett Councilman The Mayor called the meeting to order. He stated that the purpose of the meet- ing was to consider the reading of an ordinance annexing certain,land adjacent to the City of Baytown. Ordinance No. 99 The City Attorney introduced and read an ordinance which enlarged and extended the boundary limits of the City of Baytown. Councilman Reeves moved to adopt the ordinance as read. Councilman Williams seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows$ Roll Calls Ayes: Mayor Ward Nayes: None Councilman Bergeron 11 Buelow it Reeves R Williams The caption of the ordinance was as follows ORDINANCE NO. 99 AN ORDINANCE ENIARGING AND EXTEMING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AIM ANNEXING ADDITIONAL ADJACENT TERRITORY TO SAID CITY, AI,L OF WHICH IS DESCRIBED IN THE ORDINANCE; CONTAINING SAVINGS CIASUE, AMID PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATICN AND PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE IN THE PLANNER PROVIDED IN ARTICLE I, SECTION 9 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BAYTO 0. Adjournment Councilman Reeves moved to adjourn. Councilman Bergeron seconded the motion.
