1950 04 28 CC Minutes, Special254 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL FETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS April 28, 19$0 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas met in special session on Friday, April 28, 19$0 at 7:00 O'clock p. m. in the office of the City Manager in the Baytown City Hall with the following members in attendances J. A. Ward Mayor R. B. Bergeron Councilman E. W. Buelow Councilman H. I. Davie Councilman R. H. Pruett Councilman W. C. Williams Councilman C. Darwin Middleton City Manager Edna Oliver City Clerk Absents J. A. Stroud Councilman David Donoghue City Attorney The Mayor called the meeting to order. He stated the meeting was called for the purpose of discussing the fogging machine bids. The City Manager re- commended either the Bea -Kil Aerosol Generator or the Dyna -Fog Generator. After a thorough discussion on the qualities of the two (2) machines, Councilman Davis moved to purchase the Dyna -bbg Machine from the Abash Insect Control Service at d bid price of $1,185.00. Councilman Williams seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follow": RollCall: Ayes: Mayor Ward Nays: None Councilman Bergeron " Buelow " Davis'. " Bruett. " Williams The Texas Company- 011 Drilling Permit The City Manager presented a permit application from The Texas Company asking for permission to drill a well on property owned by the City. This pro- perty had been bought from the Texas Company several years ago by the former City of Pelly, however, The Texas Company retained all mineral rights on the property sold. Councilman Pruett moved to approve the permit. Councilman Bergeron seconded the motion. The. roll call vote was as follower Roll Call: Ayes: Mayor Ward Mayes None Councilman Bergeron " Buelow 9 Davie " Pruett " Williams It was agreed to interview the three (3) applicants for the City Attorney position after the close of the regular meeting on May 4th. Councilman Davis moved to adjourn. Councilman Pruett seconded the motion. The ayes were unanimous and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned. ATTESTS city cleric J. Ward, yor. j
