A RESOLUTION OF TILE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER
AUTHORITY ACCEPTING TI-11", BID OF ANDERSON POLLUTION CONTROL, FOR TFIL
LAGOON SLUDGE REMOVAL CONTRAcT AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE
BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY, IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTY-SEVEN
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FORTY-EiGirr AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($37,548.00)
MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO, AND PROVIDING FOR THE

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of' the Baytown Area Water Authority advertised for bids For the
Lagoon Sludge Removal Contract to be received on August 13, 2008, and
WHEREAS. notice to bidders as to the tirne and place, when and where the contract would be let was given
in accordance with law, and
WHEREAS, all bids were received at the Baytown Area. Water Authority's Fritz Lanharn WaterTreatment
Facility at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, as per the notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE
BE 11' RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER
AUTHORITY:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority hereby accepts the bid
of Anderson Pollution Control for the Lagoon Sludge Removal Conti-act for the surn of THIRTY-SEVEN
TFLOUSAND FIVF" HUNDRED FORTY-L',IGHT AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($37,548.00)
Section 2: That the General Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order
involving a decrease or an increase in costs or TWENTY-FIVE T[IOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($25,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than ten percent (10%)
or decreased by more than ten percent (10%) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: 'This resolution shall take effect immediately froin and after its passage by the Board of
Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority.
