A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO
THE HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL SECURITY DISTRICT ON BEHALF OF THE
BAYTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY
THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($150,000.00) FOR A MARINE
FIREFIGHTING TRAINING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE
FOR ALL PURPOSES UNDER THE GRANT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the Houston Ship Channel Security District on behalf of the Baytown Fire Department in
the amount of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO.'100 DOLLARS ($150,000.00) for a
Marine Firefighting Training Project.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant, including the acceptance, affirmation, rejection, alteration or termination of
any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
