A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER
AUTHORITY ACCEPTING THE BID OF SHANNON CHEMICAL CORPORATION, FOR
THE ANNUAL LIQUID ZINC SODIUM POLYPHOSPHATE CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY IN THE
AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-
FOUR AND N01100 DOLLARS ($134,364.00); MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED
THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority advertised for bids for the Annual
Liquid Zinc Sodium Polyphosphate Contract to be received on December 29, 2020; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was
published in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Baytown Area Water Authority's Fritz Lanham
Water Treatment Facility at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, as per published notice to bidders; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER
AUTHORITY:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority hereby accepts the bid
of Shannon Chemical Corporation, for the Annual Liquid Zinc Sodium Polyphosphate Contract for the sum of ONE
HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR AND NO'100 DOLLARS
($134,364.00).
Section 2: That the General Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order
involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO/ 100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less,
provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (251o) or decreased
by more than twenty-five percent (25%) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the Board of
Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the Board of Directors of the Baytown
