CC Resolution No. 2684RESOLUTION NO.2684 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDING FOR SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS ON WARD ROAD IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($37,194.80); AUTHORIZING A 1016 CASH MATCH; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; ASSURING PROPER USE AND MAINTENANCE OF GRANT FUNDS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to submit a continuation grant application to the Texas Department of Transportation for Highway Safety Improvement Program funding for safety enhancements on Ward Road in an amount not to exceed THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR AND 80100 DOLLARS ($37,194.80). Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match of 1006 of the amount awarded pursuant to the grant application submitted in accordance with Section I hereinabove. Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the City of Baytown for all purposes under the grant, including the acceptance, affirmation, rejection, alteration, or termination of any grant award that may result from the above application. Section 4: This resolution shall take effect irnmediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
