Ordinance No. 14,559ORDINANCE NO. 14,559 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, RENEWING THE HEAVY-DUTY TOWING AND STORAGE SERVICES CONTRACT AND ADDENDUM WITH DAN WHEELER WRECKER SERVICE, INC.; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, on October 25, 2018, the City Council approved a contract with Dan Wheeler Wrecker Service, Inc., for towing and storage services for non -consent tows authorized by the Baytown Police Department and/or other authorized City officials; and WHEREAS, the contract was for an initial two-year term, and may be renewed for two (2) additional two-year terms, under the same terms and conditions; and WHEREAS, Administration and the Chief of Police recommend that Council renew the Towing and Storage Services Contract and Addendum with Dan Wheeler Wrecker Service, Inc., for another two- year term, as it has provided reliable, timely, and effective service to the City and its citizens; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby renews the Towing and Storage Services Contract and Addendum with Dan Wheeler Wrecker Service, Inc., for heavy-duty towing and storage services for tows authorized by the Baytown Police Department or other authorized City official, which bid included the following fees: Service Amount Bid Towin Services $300 per hour along with payment to the City of Baytown in the amount of THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE AND NOI100 DOLLARS ($375.00) per year. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
