A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER Ol THE CI Y OF BAYTOWN TO MAKE
APPLICATION TO THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF
CRUELTY TO ANIMALS ("ASPCA") FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE BAYTOWN
HEALTH DEPARTMENT'S ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION IN THE AMOUNT OF
SIXTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($60,000,00); AUTHORIZING A
CASI I MATCH M AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY THOUSAND
AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($20,000.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR
AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND
PROVIDING FOR TI-IE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE rr RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF "PILE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of" Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the American Society for the Prevention Of Cruelty to Animals ("ASIICA") for the benefit
of the Baytown Health Department's Animal Control division in the aniOUnt of SIXTY THOUSAND
AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($60,000.00).
Section 2: That pursuant to the terms of the grant referenced in Section I hereof, the City
Council of the City of Baytown hereby aLlthOrizes a cash match in an amount not to exceed TWENTY
THOUSAND AND NO/]00 DOLLARS ($20,000,00) as required by the grant application authorized in
Section I hereinabove.
Section is That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section 4: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award
that may rCSLIlt from this application.
Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately from aiyd/-,ifter its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
