A RESOLUTION OF 'rI-lE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, REQUESTING THE SHERIFF OR CONSTABLF TO SELL THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1504 ALABAMA, BAYTOWN, HARRIS
COUNTY, TEXAS, AT A PUBLIC SALE PURSUANT-1-0 SI.-,"C'171ON 34.05(C)
OF THE TEXAS TAX CODE; AND PROVII)ING FOR THE EFFECTIVE,
DATE THERF'OF,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown desires to return deteriorated or
unproductive properties to the tax rolls, to enhance the value of ownership to the properties
neighboring those which have been bid off to the City of Baytown in tax fOrMOSUre sales, and to
improve the safety and quality of I ifie throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, in light of such goals, the City Council finds that it is in tile best interest of
the City of Baytown to sell via public sale the Following propelly:

prior to the date of this resolution; NOW THEREFOR]?
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the findings of the City COLMICil of the City of Baytown contained in.
(lie recitals of this resolution are hereby approved and adopted.
Section 2: That pursuant to Section 311.05(c) of the Texas 'Tax Code, the City
Council of the City of Baytown requests the Sheriff or Constable to sell the Property at at public
sale in the manner prescribed by the Rules of Civil Procedur-e fOr the sale of property under
execlltioll.
Section 3: That tile City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to submit this
resolution to the Sheriff`or Constable and to receive any bid accepted by the officer conducting
the public sale of the Property.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately firon-i and after its passage
by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
