CC Resolution No. 1109 1998 RESOLUTION NO. 1109 A UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS , COMMENDING AND THANKING RANDALL B. STRONG FOR HIS YEARS OF EXCELLENT SERVICE AND WISE COUNSEL AS CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN. WHEREAS, Randall B. Strong has served as City Attorney for ten of this thirteen years with the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, Randall B. Strong is well known throughout the State for his municipal law expertise and currently serves as a Director of the Texas City Attorney's Association; and WHEREAS, Randall B. Strong has served as General Counsel to the Baytown Area Water Authority for many years and helped guide the Authority through a very difficult construction period; and WHEREAS, Randall B. Strong has demonstrated his excellent leadership by guiding the City of Baytown through the legal shoals of the ravages of Hurricane Alicia; and WHEREAS, Randall B. Strong has repeatedly demonstrated the quality of his legal advice during the litigation this City has faced; and WHEREAS, Randall B. Strong has helped promote the quality of life in this community through his service as President of the Baytown Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and the Habitat for Humanity; and WHEREAS, Randall B . Strong has confronted each of these difficult opportunities with his calm, rational presence , personable charm and good humor; and WHEREAS, the debt of gratitude for Randall B. Strong' s wise counsel and advice can never be fully expressed , much less repaid; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City of Baytown and its citizens hereby thank Randall B. Strong for his ten years of excellent service and wise counsel as City Attorney for the City of Baytown and express their appreciation for his thirteen years of devotion and efforts to promote and improve the City of Baytown. Section 2 : This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown. 1999 INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of Baytown , this the 14th day of February, 1991. 47 ETT O.
