CC Resolution No. 977 1746 RESOLUTION NO. 977 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF OLD FIRE STATION NUMBER 3 TO THE CITY OF BAYTOWN. WHEREAS, the old Fire Station Number 3 was initially built by the Town of Goose Creek in the year 1928 to serve as its Municipal Building; housing both city hall and the fire station; and WHEREAS, the building was converted to use as a fire station in 1948; and has been used in the past, as the administration building for the fire department; and WHEREAS, the building has been in continual use for 59 years ; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS : Section 1: That old Fire Station Number 3, located at South Main and Gulf, Baytown, Texas, is hereby declared to be historically significant to the City of Baytown, Texas. Section 2 : This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
