RESOLUTION NO. 957
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, SETTING FORTH DESIRED PRIORITIES FOR DRAINAGE
PROJECTS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
AND IN THE BAYTOWN AREA.
WHEREAS, Harris County Commissioners have indicated a desire
to hold a bond election within the next eighteen (18) months to
provide needed drainage improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, in order to formulate a county bond issue, the
County Judge and Commissioners have requested that the City of
Baytown help determine what drainage projects should be included
in the bond election; and
WHEREAS, this Council has assessed possible drainage
projects to meet the needs of its growing community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to submit certain
projects, listed in order of priority, for consideration for
inclusion in the bond program; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council requests the County Judge
and Commissioners to consider the following drainage improvement
projects as the City's desired list of priorities in the next
county bond election:
DRAINAGE PROJECTS
I. G102-00-00 - Widen and deepen existing concrete
channel, North Burnett to Robin Road.
II. 0100-00-00 - Concrete Channel, Baker to West
Lynchburg -Cedar Bayou Road.
III. 0100-00-00 - Detention Basin/improvements
identified by ongoing Master Plan.
IV. 0100-00-00 - Improvements to earthen channel,
Decker Drive to end of concrete channel.
V. 0103-00-00 - Hull Gully erosion repair, mouth
to Danubina.
VI. 0105-00-00 - Earth Channel, mouth to James
Bowie Drive
VII. G103-00-00 - Earth channel, Baker Road upstream
to end.

VIII. G202--00-00 Concrete channel, North Burnett to
Crestway Drive.
IX. 0111-00--00 - Earth channel, Decker to San
Jacinto Canal.
X. 0110-00-00 - Earth Channel, mouth to Highway
146.
XI. Q112-00-00 - Earth channel, mouth to Cedar
Bayou Lynchburg Road.
Section This Resolution shall become effective from and
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 7th day of October,
1986.
