CC Resolution No. 941 1689 RESOLUTION NO. 941 A UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, FORMALLY RECOGNIZING AND THANKING JO ROOSA FOR HER SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY. *�**xx■�ra�r�,«*�r�rr*■*�r***��-x�**�.�*.»»�rx�r�r*■.�r«�r*�r,r.�*��r**�**�r�**■*�r�*�r�-***x.,r WHEREAS, Jo Roosa has served as President of the Baytown Branch of the American Association of University Women, the Country Club Oaks Civic Association and the League of Women Voters; and WHEREAS, Jo Roosa has served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Sterling Municipal Library and Baytown Sheltering Arms; and WHEREAS, Jo Roosa has worked tirelessly to raise public conscientiousness both as a volunteer and as Executive Coordinator of the Baytown Clean City Commission to the problems of litter prevention and community beautification; and WHEREAS, Jo Roosa was instrumental in the creation of Keep Texas Beautiful, Inc. (KAB); and WHEREAS, Jo Roosa was recently honored by the Baytown Business and Professional Women's Club by being selected "Woman of the Year," the first nonmember of their association so honored; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council on behalf of itself and the citizens of Baytown, hereby officially recognizes, thanks and commends Jo Roosa for her valuable service to the citizens of Baytown. This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
