RESOLUTION NO. 930
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
APPROVING THE POLICE AND FIRE CHIEF'S AUTHORITY TO
APPOINT THEIR ASSISTANT DEPARTMENT HEADS.
WHEREAS, Article 1269m, Sec. SAW TEX. REV. CIV. STAT., permits the
appointment of two Assistant Police Chiefs by the Police Chief and the appointment
of one Assistant Fire Chief by the Fire Chief; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by resolution may approve the authority of the
police and fire chiefs to make such appointments; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the Chief of the Police Department is hereby authorized to
appoint each person occupying the classification immediately below that of chief
which shall not exceed the number authorized by classification ordinance and never
more than three.
Section 2: That the Chief of the Fire Department is hereby authorized to
appoint one person to occupy the classification immediately below that of chief.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.

Council of the City of Baytown, this the 26th day of November, 1985.
