CC Resolution No. 905 1638 RESOLUTION NO. 905 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE COUNCIL FOR A GRANT TO ESTABLISH A YOUTH AND LAW PROGRAM AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. «..x.��-�s»�r v+�rxrt*s**�rxrs**�-�-*�*�rrW*sir**.*r«.+��-�r.�-*�r■r*r*�rw��*�c+t.*�r*.r�rw��r».+r WHEREAS, the student population of the elementary, middle and high schools and the college in the Baytown area exceeds 16,000; and WHEREAS, there exists a need for direct liaison between the school population and public and private programs, which liaison will convey information concerning drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation programs, crime prevention programs, such as a bicycle registration and theft prevention program and other programs which impact this population; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make application to the Texas Criminal Justice Council for a grant to establish a youth and law program in the amount of TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED TWO AND NO/100 ($29,902.00) DOLLARS. Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
