RESOLUTION NO. 785
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
WHEREBY BAYTOWN ELECTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HARRIS
COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT AS OF JANUARY 1 , 1982 , IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEXAS PROPERTY TAX CODE .
WHEREAS , the Texas Property Tax Code under Section 6 . 02
(District Boundaries) (b) and (c) allows the City of Baytown
to participate in appraisal districts where such municipality
has taxable real properties situated .
WHEREAS , the City of Baytown has its greatest number of
parcels of taxable real property in Harris County .
WHEREAS , the citizens of Baytown would benefit moreso
from participating in the Harris County Appraisal District
as opposed to any benefit derived from participating in any
districts available .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown
elects to participate in the Harris County Appraisal District
as of January 1 , 1982 in accordance with the Texas Property
Tax Code .
Section 2 : This Resolution shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage .
