CC Resolution No. 770 1304 RESOLUTION NO. 770 A UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS , FORMALLY RECOGNIZING AND THANKING EILEEN CAFFEY FOR HER SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AS COUNCILPERSON FROM DISTRICT NO. TWO BEGINNING APRIL 1978 , THROUGH APRIL, 1981 , AND RECOGNIZING SOME OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS SHE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN BRINGING ABOUT DURING HER TENURE OF OFFICE . WHEREAS , EILEEN CAFFEY has served the City of Baytown as Councilperson from District No . 2 for a period of three (3) years ending April 9, 1981 ; and WHEREAS, EILEEN CAFFEY, as a member of City Council , was instrumental in the implementation of drainage, sewer, street, and water improvements; and WHEREAS, EILEEN CAFFEY, during her tenure of office the senior citizens and disabled citizens of Baytown were granted increased tax exemptions on homesteads; and WHEREAS, EILEEN CAFFEY, during her tenure of office did strive for the betterment of this community and the City of Baytown has continued to grow, prosper, and operate on a sound financial basis; and WHEREAS , EILEEN CAFFEY, during her tenure, was a member of the Clean City Commission and contributed greatly toward the beautification and enhancement of the City of Baytown; Accordingly, the City Council desires to express its apprecia- tion to EILEEN CAFFEY for her faithful civic participation in the government of the City of Baytown; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: That the City Council on behalf of itself and the citizens of Baytown, hereby officially recognizes , thanks , and commends EILEEN CAFFEY for her valuable service to the City as Councilperson from District No. Two. 1305 INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Baytown on this the jW day of 1981 . 0.
