Ordinance No. 11,873ORDINANCE NO. 11,873 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI III, CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, RENEWING THE WOOD GRINDING AND MATERIAL. HANDLING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH NOVUS WOOD GROUP, L.P., AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($282,000,00); MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERF"TO; AND PROVIDING FOR TI-IF" EFFECTIVE DATE Tf I EREOF. WHEREAS, NOVUS Wood Group, I—P., was awarded the Wood Grinding and Material Handling Services Contract oil March 10, 2011, pursuant to as cooperative pUrchasing agreement with the City of Pasadena and a Supplemental Agreement with Novus Wood Group, L.P., which agreements included ail option by the parties to renew for additional one-year periods; and WHEREAS, Novus Wood Group, L.P., leas indicate(] its willingness to renew the contract For all additional year Under tile same terms and conditions; and WHEREAS, the Administration has reviewed the market conditions and recommends renewal as being in tile best interest of tile City; NOW THERE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City COLHICH of the City oil' Baytown hereby renews the contract of Novus Wood GI•OLlp, L.P., for tile Wood Grinding and Material I landling Services Contract for tile surn of TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($282,000.00), and authorizes paymen(thereof.
